This model is from Cool Mini or Not's own line of miniatures.  A friend of mine asked me to take a shot at painting it. I like to think I did it justice. It should make a great center piece for his his Warhammer High Elf army.

A belated Happy New Year.

I've been receiving a number of commission requests for painted Reaper miniatures so I thought It might be a good idea to get the gallery pictures up to date. The last time I added pics to it was around late 2009. I've painted quite a few minis since then. New mini pics will be added slowly and hopefully It will be a better reflection of what I'm capable of. I plan to do the same to the rest of the various galleries. The miniatures above were done in the last month or so.

I tried something a little new with this one. I usually start models like this with a black or grey base and work up from there. I started this with a white base and added the shading/ weathering. Basically working from light to dark. I painted it primariy using some new alcohol based inks I picked up recently. The inks work really well when shot through an airbrush. The control is pretty tight allowing me to apply some fairly detailed strokes.

The Games Workshop has hit a home run with the new Finecast models. There were a few minor problems with the cast but nothing that a little putty and patience couldn't fix.

A long overdue update. This is another one of the new  Battle Engines by Privateer Press. I enjoyed doing this up even more than the Khador Gun Carriage.

It might not seem like it but I've been painting fairly regularly. I've just been a bit too busy and touch too lazy to update with new pics.

A Khador Gun Carriage from Privateer Press. This thing is awesome. A real treat to paint. The horses were a bit of a bitch to deal with but other than that it was a pretty simple job to put together and paint. I wouldn't mind a shot at painting one of the other Battle Engine models for the other factions. I may have to put a few dollars aside and pick up the Cryx Wraith Engine.

I've been sick as a dog the past couple of days. A good time to do an update. I recently painted up a couple of my favourite Reaper Dwarves. That's a lie. Every Reaper Dwarf is my favourite. There isn't a single one from that company that I don't like.
